12/27/2004 02:34:00 AM|W|P|Jen Da Purse Ho|W|P|Christmas is over and i'm pretty happy that is it. this is one of the most stressful christmases i have had in a long long time. The church celebration i came home to help with was a bit of a crunch. but i got alot of praise. which is fine. i don't help for the praise, but it was nice. :-) My poncho was a BIG BIG hit. i wore it to church on Christmas night and everyone complimented it. yay! my mom wants it now..and i think i'll give it to her just so i have an excuse to make another one. hahaha. i did manage to make a neck warmer thing while i was here out of some lion brand yarn stuffs. it kept me warm tonight...so i guess it works! haahah. i was trying to make my friend a scarf made of suede...i do'nt like how the black suede feels. for some reason it's different. sigh. i can't wait to just hit the sack tonight. i'm so tired. i didnt' sleep last night till 4am working on church stuffs. and tonight i went to a poker night at a friend's house. it lasted way too long. sigh. i'll post pics and stuff later. right now..my bed is calling me home.... |W|P|110414025630197015|W|P|so tired|W|P|purse.ho@gmail.com12/14/2004 10:29:00 PM|W|P|Jen Da Purse Ho|W|P|SO i finally finished my interlacements poncho. I have to admit..it took me longer than i anticipated. but it's all good. i like it. I had to block it b/c it was so short. so i spent Friday and Saturday blocking. it was nice. here is a pic of it blocking...it took me forever to find a big piece of cardboard to pin it to. i know...cardboard? hey..it's the best I could do at 2am.
What do you think? I'm going to work on learning "double trouble" w/ socks. I asked Trudi of Simpatico to help me learn...and i think i got it. now i just have to make myself work on these socks. lol. i'm going to work on a beanie for myself that i saw at The Cabbage Rose here in Fort Worth. i went nuts looking for the pattern and good ol' Lilyan figured out where the pattern was from. I went and bought it yesterday from the Woolie Ewe in Plano. i know i iknow....i'm all over the metroplex looking for freaking yarn and patterns. but i can't wait to do it.
I really dig the scarf too. I bought the Debbie Bliss Cashermino for the hat. but i don't know if i can afford doing the scarf in it too. LOL. i mean..i CAN...but do i want to? hahaah
Christmas is upon us soon. I have to fly home again to help out w/ a church celebration. so i'm kind of excited to go home again and just relax. no work, no school. is eveyrone ready for christmas? hahaha. finished all your knitting and shopping?

He goes "Look at this. Can you make this for meeee?" i said i would try!!

it's a cute toboggan. So i went to Simpatico Yarns and there just happen to be Nature Spun in these colors!! So i bought them last week and sat on them. i coudn't stand it any longer. I told him i would have it ready by Christmas. So today i sat down and figured out the # of stitches I need and so forth. i meant to cast on and knit 5 rows only. yeah...that didn't happen.

I went a LITTTLE too far!

I got as far as the blue. I knitted about 1.65" of the beige color...and i plan on going about 2 inches of the blue. we'll see. see what my mood does to me. :-)

GRRRRRR. and i didn't get it done. but i'm almost done. just a few more rounds and then finishing it off. then it will be DONE DONE DONE!! YAY!!! since i've been back i've been trying to catch up on school work and clean up my place and deal w/ being so tired all day. hehehe. i did manage to buy more Interlacements Yarn in Summer Fruit. HAHAA. Interlacements has become my crack cocaine. sigh
isn't it very very pretty? I went to a different LYS today and it was a bit...different. it's a quilt shop/knitting shop. there was a CUTE hat there that i absolutely LOVED. so i thought about it all day. i took a picture of it w/ my stupid camera phone so i woudln't forget it. i searched that store high and low for that pattern. and then in telling my friend Lilyan today...she instantly figured it out. hahaah. BRILLIANT!! so now i must find this pattern. i know where it is...but i don't know if i want the whole book for the pattern for the hat. sigh.
